Questions about Netflix

Just signed up for a free trial of Netflix :) A few questions:

1. How many devices can you use with one Netflix account? I'm sure there must be some limit otherwise everyone could use the same login details. Or is it the case that only one device can stream per account at any time? Between us, we have two laptops, a Smart TV, two iPhones, iPad, Android tablet, PS3, Xbox....

2. What does US Netflix have that UK Netflix doesn't? I've heard that mentioned a few times.

3. How easy is it to set up US Netflix on the iPad (assuming there is a good reason)? Is it just a case of changing the DNS servers?

Thanks!

Hi,

I've just logged onto my account and under "Your Account" > "Streaming Plan" there are two options

Watch on 2 screens at the same time - £5.99 a month
Watch on 4 screens at the same time - £8.99 a month

In my experience US netflix has more seasons of "Walking Dead" and it had "Family Guy".
Just to name a couple, you'd have to take a look yourself to see what intrests you.

Oh, and yes it's as simple as changing the DNS Server.
Just a quick google of "US DNS Server Netflix" will bring up plenty.

You may notice your streaming speed is slower and you may have to wait a bit longer for things to buffer. Overall it shouldn't take longer than a few minutes to get setup.

Hope this helps

1. You can stream to 2 Devices at the same time but be logged in with many devices.

2. http://netflixukvsusa.blogspot.co.uk/ Has a comprehensive comparisson of whats there.
There's around 10,000 things on US and 3,000 on UK. We get some things US don't (Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (earlier anyway)) and they get a lot we don't (as you can see from the numbers but of the top of my head I know they have 30 Rock).

3. It's very easy, there's a guide here http://steves-studio.blogspot.ca/2013/08/how-to-watch-american-netflix-on-your.html
The same blog updates with new working DNS too.
Although personally I just use UK Netflix on PS3, Phone/Tablet and then use Media Hint https://mediahint.com/ to access US Netflix on my Laptop/MicroServer. Media Hint also opens up Hulu and a few other US based streaming sites.
