Real Racing 2 hits Android Market

Real Racing 2 hits Android MarketThe first Real Racing was pretty sweet, but sadly never made the leap from Apple’s App Store to Google’s Android Market.

But it’s time to grab a hankie and wipe those tears, kid, as EA has now officially served Real Racing 2 for Android peeps. Huzzah!

It’s currently free to download Real Racing 2 from the Android Market, however the full game must be unlocked via in-app purchase. Sigh. Why not just tell us how much it is, EA?

Slashgear notes that the full Real Racing 2 experience costs $4.99 to unlock in the US, so we reckon somewhere in the £3.49 region. I’ll find out for certain just as soon as the required 600MB download completes. Set phasers to Wi-Fi.

In any case, it’s a bit of a slap in the face for Androidians, as iOS users can currently grab Real Racing 2 for a mere 69p. Yes, that includes the HD iPad version.

Real Racing 2 features 30 officially licensed cars, 15 locations, five camera angles and a 10-hour career mode. In terms of controls, both touch and tilt are supported.

I’ll attempt to review Real Racing 2 for Android in between mince pie binges. Stay tuned.

Think it was £4.75 as I`m waiting for it now. Downloaded the trial and though my SFII got warm it played it excellently, hope the full version is even better. The playback was superb too. Was a bit wary of the battery as it looks quite some powerful program however I have a Power Manager running so I was very surprised and pleased how the phone and game got on.
