You are not very specific - like WHEN does that happen? When olfactory, or on the charger etc etc afaik the Sony Ericsson X
10 Mini Pro flashes red when the battery is below 20%. And also when it's completely drained and you start charging it. Apparently, when the battery is completely drained, it can take up to 20 minutes on the charger to get any lifesign - during that time the led flashes red.

When the phone has died and I try to charge the battery again it shows a blinking red light

How long are you trying? From what I read, it can stay red for up to 30 minutes into the charge. This question seems to pop up a lot on SE forums, and it seems to be one of those charming firmware idiocies.

Does it charge via USB/PC? Does the PC recognise it as a disk drive?
Take out the battery for a minute, reboot...
And give us a few more details, so we can figure out what might be wrong. Or take it to a shop, see if they try a different charger/battery

Does phone power on?

My Xperia X10 Mini is also doing the same thing. Last night it was showing that it was charging, and this morning i wake up to see my phone dead even though connected to it's factory charger. I tried switching chargers and also tried charging it with my pc, but the only thing i see is a blinking red light. And my phone has a built in battery so can't even get it out. Any suggestions?

Factory reset. If that doesn't help, have it checked out. You are not saying how old your Mini is, but based on its release date, you may be up for a new battery...

What is "she she game"?
Was the phone at any time working and charging? TO YOUR KNOWLEDGE?
Have you tried another charger? Have you tried THAT charger on a different phone?
Have you read any posts in this thread? Once the X10 (or do you have a "Mini"?) is totally
draine, it can take 30 mins+ to show lifesigns.
So, tell us some more... or we can only guess guesses

CTPAHHIK  Dec. 17, 2012 at 18:21

Are you using Sony supplied charger? Try charging phone from computer. Check what windows says, is it able to install driver? Try downloading PC Companion, as it might have necessary drivers.
Report back I'll give you more advanced things to try.

Could be worth noting that usb connector issues are the most common faults on Xperias from what I was reading earlier when looking for a fix for a friends Xperia Arc S where the connector has broken.

FilipSrbin  Jan. 10, 2013 at 02:44

I brought xperia x10i in non-working condition and i tought i could fix the problem by reinstaling the software. When i got it it was blinking 3 red dots when i try to power on. After USB charging from PC i got green light which was constant for approximetly 1min then turning off LED light. When i connect it again it was green light again for about a min again. Then after charging my battery on WIRES i successed to make phone vibrate(GREEN light blinks for less then second) then nothing. Tried SEUS and PC compaion 2.1 and i got message that my Xperia X10i has the newest update. Tried with s1tool but no succeed, also tried with flasher, and on every ftf file it starts then stops and i get this erorr " Sin verification failed " ... Could this problem be solved by JTAG RFF device? I know a story where they have this tool to fix BRICKED android phones? Any answer will be appreciated!!!!

Try over at XDA, what you are asking is very specific for quite an old phone.

You are right... very specific, yet, it could be down to any of a dozen or so faults...

CTPAHHIK  Jan. 11, 2013 at 12:42

Your phone is not bricked. Green light means flash mode - it will stay for short time in flash mode and try to boot. Looks like system/kernel is corrupted or missing on the phone.

First of all try to charge the battery or use charged battery.
1. Use PC Companion to restore phone to factory state. You are not updating, but restoring. This menu is hard to find in PC Companion, because it will wipe your phone, but it's there.
2. Use Flashtool - you would need to find a factory FTF for your phone. SIN verification means FTF is corrupted or loader.sin does not match your phone. I need more specific error.

Hi there,
I had a water accident with my phone. I let it drie for a day, put it in rice for a night, then when I tried to turn it on the red light flashes continuously.. I read in the beginning of this forum page possibly I had to charge for half an hour or something? Or you think it's just dead? Or possibly just the battery? It's 1,5 years old. It's the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro2 btw.

JanSt / MOD  Jan. 28, 2013 at 12:06

Well... there seems to be a number of causes for that red light.
So, it's hard to guess.
But the Xperia Minis are kinda known for the charging issue - i.e. when completely flat, it can take a while to come back to life. And as you say: a year and a half would also make it a candidate for a new battery. But frankly: after a water incident it may not be worth a new battery. Even if it works now, corrosion can do its damage in 4 or 6 weeks time.
