Review of the week

Review of the weekWhat happened this week? Well, Apple lifted the lid on a little something called “iOS 6”. Marty J took great pleasure in sitting through the entiiire keynote just to hear the relevant crud (essentially Maps and Siri) at the end.

And in the world of comments, Jan threatened to spank me for omitting a question mark. Even more disturbingly, our favourite German Irishman revealed that he keeps a “Lewis Spank List”. I’m scared.

Comment numbers in the blah blah blah. You know the deal.

I thought "spank list" sounded better than... you know ;) :p

And what's with the photo of an objectified, abused kitten? PETA cannot be far.

PETA cannot be far
That scum-bag organisation which ends up murdering ~85% of the animals they take in? Eugh, I can't stand their hypocritical bullcrap.

(Excuse the personal, off-topic comment; my dislike for PETA erupted uncontrollably).

Agree... Not a PETA fan - 2 evils don't make a right. They served a purpose: waking up some
folks. Gathering useful info. But the pointless sexism of their campaigns; the kill-'shelters'; the promotion of vegetarianism while calling vegans 'delusional'.... F*ck'em.

It's crap like this that invalidates their once sensible message. They irritate me intensely, they're an organisation which has clearly lost sight of its original message and values.

Imagine if ~85% of children in care were murdered (they're basically rescued children)...PETA are pretty much saying that'd be OK, as they kill ~85% of the animals they rescue and animals and humans have equal rights, apparently.

On reflection, I think even the most corrupt PETA member would say that would be immoral and unethical, their blatant hypocrisy strikes again.

I'm shocked.

On a slightly related note, I checked my cat's collar; it is a breakaway one :).

That makes very little sense, even for you :p? How can a more complicated cat collar cost less than a normal cat collar?
