Review of the week

Review of the weekAnd so ends the last full week in September (pictured). Highlight of the week? Uhm, I... don't know. I finally started playing the first Borderlands; does that count? Of course, next month, we'll have lots of Windows-flavoured stuff to look forward to.

In the world of comments, we discovered that Jan doesn't own a fridge. Seriously, this guy gets weirder by the day. Next week, we'll hear how he travels by horse and cart.

Comment numbers are, as always, in les brackets (pardon my French).

Have a good weekend, one and all.

Jan, how do you keep your orange juice cold, your ham fresh, your beer cold etc.

What do you eat? Canned everything?

Canned nothing. No beer. NO ham... I'm vegan; grow a lot of my own stuff, buy other stuff FRESH.... I shall patent the concept.

Also, seriously: I have one of => http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pot-in-pot_refrigerator only cleverer

No beer?! I feel for you...

Those pot in pot fridges look pretty good according to its wikipedia page. Still, they're not exactly practical for freezing things.

No, freezings is a bit trial and error in our climate. But a steady 2-5 degr. Cels is no problem.
And you won't be able to store veg and fruit any better - no matter how much you spend on a fridge.

Are we offtopic enough?

matt101101 / MOD  Oct. 1, 2012 at 10:49

We're never off-topic, ever. Do you not miss freezing things? It's so practical for making food last for months...

JanSt / MOD  Oct. 1, 2012 at 11:29

Yes, admittedly - been considering that. Although "for months" is relative in the West of Oireland - longest we have uninterrupted electrics seems to be 10 days.

Really?! 10 days? That's ridiculous; why on earth did you leave nice, advanced Germany and move to expensive, backwards Ireland? You're a man who confuses me greatly :p.

That's why I'm here - it's a great place for confusing people :p
