Review of the week

Review of the weekIt’s my freakin’ birthday, dudes, so obviously I’m churning out some work from home with a massively sore head. No rest for the wicked.

Anyway! Self-pity (and slight nausea) aside, this week saw a few Nokia buyout rumours (here and here), while Samsung made all the Samsung Galaxy S4s official – and added some new stuff (this and this).

Right, I’m off for an afternoon nap (definitely getting old) then it’s off to see Brad Pitt vs. The Zombies.

Happy weekending, all!

Happy Birthday, Mr Curdie

Happy Birthday, Lewis :)!

Also, let us know whether World War Z is any good, please. I can't decide if it looks good or if they've just cut the only decent parts of the film into the trailer to draw people in.

When has that ever been done, matt? You're so paranoid!!!

Aww, thanks guys :p

World War Z was... fine. Absolutely nothing to do with the book, right enough, but worth a watch.

Oddly, the films it reminded me of most were The Day After Tomorrow (OTT, blockbuster action sequences) and Contagion (Brad Pitt vs. the deadly global virus, that just so happens to turn people into zombies).

I've never read the book, so that's not an issue to me :p. I'll go and see it one day this week.

I liked The Day After Tomorrow, I thought it was a decent film (though it's been years since I've seen it).

I was considered useful enough to be a Mod haha ;).

Btw, on a totally off-topic note; have you played the new Tomb Raider? I got it today off a mate and it's brilliant, much better than I expected. I'm not usually into that kinda game, but I'm really enjoying it (I think the Mrs is enjoying having me out the way in the back room as well haha :p).

It's a lot better than I remember TR games being, more action and less stupid puzzles (if I want to work, I'll do something I'm getting paid for).

Last of Us looks brilliant, I really want to play it. Unfortunately, I don't have a PS3 so I can't :(. If any of my mates who have got a PS3 get it, I might be proper cheeky and ask to borrow the entire console for a couple of days in return for my Xbox and a couple of Halo games haha ;).

Btw, PS4 or Xbox One? I'm guessing I already know the answer and I assume it's the same as mine...

Treab  Jun. 23, 2013 at 00:33

I was defo ps4 ... but since microsoft have dropped the moronic DRM requirement i will wait and see.
