We're less than three weeks away now from RIM's BlackBerry 10 launch event, when the platform will be unveiled alongside a pair of launch devices – one a full touchscreen phone and the other with a physical keyboard.
What we don't know, however, is exactly when the new handsets will go on sale, but a leaked image supposedly from Best Buy Canada's inventory system suggests the date we're looking at could be February 28.
It isn't clear which model in particular is being referred to, with the device name simply listed as “Bell BlackBerry 10 Device”. But it's likely that despite the specific reference to carrier Bell, the handset will be launched simultaneously across the board – at least in Canada, anyway.
That doesn't mean we'll be able to get our hands on it then here in the UK – RIM is likely to prioritise its home market in Canada, and North America in general, to get the ball rolling.
Needless to say, RIM itself is being determinedly tight-lipped about the whole affair, refusing to confirm any details before the big unveiling on January 30.
“We understand that there is a lot of excitement for BlackBerry 10,” a RIM spokesman told BGR after being contacted for clarification. “We will launch the platform on January 30 and until then we won’t comment on speculation.”
