Rovio branched off from the Angry Birds thing for Amazing Alex, however it’s going back to its feathered roots for its next smartphone effort, namely Bad Piggies.
Ahead of its release later this month, an exclusive video shows us what to expect from Bad Piggies’ gameplay.
The stars of the Bad Piggies show are, as the name suggests, the evil green pigs we’ve spent hours massacring in the Angry Birds series.
Bad Piggies’ gameplay is focused around building and launching vehicles, with a host of objects including fans, propellers, balloons and umbrellas. Indeed, Rovio promises “millions of possible combinations”. Nice.
"As far as the gameplay goes, Bad Piggies and Angry Birds are complete opposites," says Rovio’s Petri Järvilehto. "Angry Birds smash things up, Bad Piggies build stuff. The pigs are all about making plans and building things, even -- and especially -- when they don't work!"
September 27 is the date to stick in your diary, and Bad Piggies will be available for iOS, Android and Mac. It’s “also coming to” (later in the year, we presume) Windows Phone, Windows 8 (which is released on October 26) and PC.
