When you think of annual mobile developer conference thingies, the ones that immediately spring to mind are Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), Google I/O, and perhaps Microsoft Build – if you’re into that kind of thing.
Everyone’s favourite South Korean manufacturer, Samsung, has announced its own developers conference, suitably titled, er, Developers Conference. Makes sense to us.
The Samsung Developers Conference has appeared in the form of a website (samsungdevcon.com) for starters, where peeps are invited to enter their email addresses for an alert when registration opens.
As for location and date, the inaugural Samsung Developers Conference is going down in San Francisco from October 27-29.
Sammo isn’t giving much away, with the main body of the Samsung Developers Conference website simply saying: “Engage with industry leaders. Collaborate with fellow developers. Learn about new Samsung tools and SDKs. Create what’s next.”
But heck, while the focus is clearly on the developer side of things, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a device or two launch at Samsung Developers Conference also. You know what Samsung’s like. And Apple's WWDC used to be the launching ground for the iPhone.
