Samsung makes Apple an offer Down Under

Samsung makes Apple an offer Down UnderUnless you’ve been hiding under a giant inflatable iPad for the past few months, you’ll be well aware that Apple and Samsung are currently embroiled in something like 20-odd legal battles across the globe.

One of those battles is taking place in Australiaville, and there are whipsers that Samsung might’ve made Apple a cheeky offer.

That’s the story according to the Wall Street Journal, though the finer details of the offer aren’t clear. Apple attorney Stephen Burley would only suggest: "(Samsung's) inconvenience would be diminished and we would be comforted" by the deal.

If Apple accepts Samsung’s offer – whatever it may be – the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 could go on sale in Australia as early as next week. We first heard about the Australia injunction at the beginning of August.

In the meantime Samsung is looking to ban the iPhone and iPad in the Netherlands, while addressing the “method of scrolling” patent violation that could see some of the Galaxy range banned in Europe.
