The Samsung Galaxy S III rumours continue to fly thick and fast, with the lack of any official information from South Korea’s favourite manufacturer.
But wait! The Samsung horse’s mouth now says we should officially expect to see the Exynos 4 Quad quad-core processor in the next Galaxy. Sah-weet.
Samsung boasts that the Exynos 4 Quad is the “World [sic] First 32nm HKMG process based Quad ARM Cortex-A9 Mobile Application Processor”. That sounds like a guaranteed pick-up line to me.
Hankil Yoon, SVP of Samsung's Product Strategy Team, bawled: "The application processor is a crucial element in providing our customers with PC-like experience on mobile devices.
"Samsung’s next Galaxy device, which will be officially announced soon, offers uncompromised performance and ground breaking multi-tasking features, thanks to Exynos 4 Quad’s powerful performance and efficient energy management technology."
Interestingly, the Samsung Exynos 4 Quad boasts twice the processing power of the Exynos 4 Dual, but with 20% less strain on the battery. That’s what we like to hear.
Of course, the next Galaxy launch event takes place one week today, in Londinium.
In the meantime, you can read more about the Samsung Exynos 4 Quad over at samsung.com.
