We've been hearing a bit lately about Samsung's A-Series, which will supposedly follow the example of the recently launched Galaxy Alpha in using premium materials for a high build quality.
And now we have some video evidence to give us a better idea of what we can look forward to from the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3.
Our last check on the A-Series focused specifically on a leaked image of the Galaxy A5, which came across looking more than a little like the iPhone 5S.
We questioned at the time how Samsung would deliver the supposed premium-quality build given the Galaxy A5's billing as a mid-range handset.
To confuse things further, the source behind the leak said the handset would be made from a material that is “cold to the hand” – note the lack of the word “metal” anywhere in there.
And to be honest, the newly leaked video clip showing Samsung's A-Series duo doesn't really set the matter straight. They're nice enough to look at, but you don't really get an idea of how they feel in the hand.
What we can see is that like on the Galaxy Alpha, the unibody construction means a non-removable battery. However, unlike the Galaxy Alpha, the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 both seem to have a microSD card slot included.
Where does it all leave us? Probably “confused” is the most honest answer. Hopefully we'll get more info before too long.
