As I was saying earlier, this year’s IFA is shaping up to be a heck of a show, with various goodies potentially – according to rumours – arriving from Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony.
Samsung has already confirmed that it’s working on a smartwatch (thanks, Lee Young Hee), and now we’re told it’ll definitely launch on September 4 – as rumoured a couple of weeks ago.
That’s the story according to SamMobile, which is generally pretty spot-on when it comes to Samsung-related rumour action.
The SamMobians don’t give credit to anyone in particular, simply announcing that they “can confirm” September 4 as the Samsung Galaxy Gear launch date.
That’s of course two days before IFA 2013 opens its doors officially, but it’s already confirmed as the date for Samsung’s Unpacked event, with the star of the show expected to be the much-discussed Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Gear, there’s not a great deal to go on at this stage, though it’s proposed that it “might possibly” have a flexible display.
Not long till the world of mobile goes completely mental. Checking my calendar, I make September 4… two weeks on Wednesday.
As Martin was saying earlier, Sony has cheekily scheduled an event for earlier that same day. Brilliant.
