Samsung has been super-busy this week with CES 2014, announcing a fresh batch of surprisingly impressive-sounding tablets. As such, it’ll be taking a well-deserved February off, right? Right?
WRONG. The Samsung production machine continues unabated, and again we’re hearing that a confusing handset that’s both better and worse than the original Galaxy Grand is bound for Barcelona. Here we’re calling it the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo.
To be honest, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Samsung fired out a Galaxy Grand Lite and Galaxy Grand Neo (joining the existing Galaxy Grand and Galaxy Grand 2), but the spec sheets appear to be identical. Thank Satan for small mercies.
Citing a “leaked internal document”, GSMArena relays/reiterates Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo specs including a 5in display (800 x 480), 1.2GHz quad-core A7 processor, and a modest 1GB of RAM.
Further Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo specs supposedly include a 5MP rear camera with flash, front VGA shooter, and 8GB internal storage with microSD compatibility.
Finally, we have Jelly Bean Android 4.2 on operating system duties, and the whole thing’s powered by a 2,100mAh battery.
Nothing worth getting too excited about, clearly, but expect to hear the full story regardless from MWC 2014 at the end of February. There's a good chance it'll be joined by the equally pointless Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite.
