Samsung Galaxy S II coming to Phones4u on April 27

Samsung Galaxy S II coming to Phones4u on April 27We recently found out that the Samsung Galaxy S II will land in the UK on May 1, 11 weeks after it made its debut at Mobile World Congress.

Now Phones4u is offering the chance to get your greasy hands on it even earlier i.e. this coming Wednesday, April 27.

Marketing Director at Phones 4U, Russell Braterman, boasts: "With its super-slim good looks and the latest Android 2.3 operating system, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is the next step in the evolution of mobile.

"We're really proud to be the first retailer to offer the Samsung Galaxy S2 to our customers. The original Samsung Galaxy S was hugely popular when it launched last year, and we're confident the Galaxy S II will be just as successful as its predecessor."

Phones4u will offer the Gingerbread (Android 2.3) superphone on Orange. There are four options to choose from. Rather than attempt to summarise them, I’ll provide a convenient link, right… here.

As for the rest of the Big 5; Vodafone, O2 and Three will all offer the Samsung Galaxy S II on May 1. But T-Mobile, Orange’s Everything Everywhere partner, won’t stock the phone until June.

Expect the HTC Sensation to match this pricing almost identically. £35 a month for a free high-end phone is a great deal.

How is Gingerbread supposed to be Android 3.0? For a site dedicated to this stuff, you'd think you'd get it straight!

T-Mobile in June! WTF!!! I thought this was going to be good news in this article, turns out it's a load of sweaty balls.

@danpwc Simple typo. The Samsung Galaxy S II is launching with Gingerbread 2.3! Not v3.0 ;)
