Samsung has already told us not to expect the Galaxy S III at Mobile World Congress this month (boo). There’ll be a separate launch event at some point in the “first half of the year”.
In the meantime, some purported snapshots of the Samsung Galaxy S III have popped up on xda.cn. Get the salt ready, bro.
The rumoured Samsung Galaxy S III specs accompanying the pics include a curved 4.6in 1280x720 Super AMOLED display, with – wait for it – 3D. Good lord. Not the first time we’ve heard such rumblings.
Actually, that display seems to sit at a frankly unattractive angle, making us wonder if it’s of the flexible variety. Samsung is thought to be lining up such beasts for Q2.
Other specs include a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 12MP camera, with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) at the helm.
So what the hell is it? What's with those ugly buttons at the bottom? Is it even real? If so, our money’s on some sort of flexible proto-monster. Maybe we’ll find out more at Mobile World Congress. Maybe. Three weeks to go, baby.
