We reckon HTC and Nokia (among others) were quite glad that the Samsung Galaxy S III didn’t pop up in Barcelona last week, and to be honest – we’re kind of over it too. But that doesn’t mean we’re not consuming the latest Samsung Galaxy S III rumours like ravenous dogs.
Today we’ve got some juicy GLBenchmark results, purportedly showing stats for Samsung’s latest flagship. Très intéressant.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to carry model number GT-I9300, and that’s exactly what we’ve got here.
Samsung Galaxy S III specs we can extract from the benchmark include Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), a display resolution of 1196 x 720 (not 1080p HD, then), and a max CPU frequency of 1,400MHz – however it’s unclear if that’s dual- or quad-core. Surely the latter.
There’s also a Mali 400 MP GPU, same as the Samsung Galaxy S II but clocked higher to fuel that larger Samsung Galaxy S III display at the same pace.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S III release date, we were recently told to mark April on our calendars, but Samsung has stressed that nothing is official just yet, and any official announcement will be made via Twitter.
