No one’s quite sure why Samsung didn’t debut the Galaxy S III at Mobile World Congress. Maybe it wasn’t quite ready; maybe Sammo wanted to close the gap between launch and release; or maybe it simply feels its latest flagship is deserving of its own event.
In any case, the latest whispers from the rumour mill – courtesy of ZDNet Korea – suggest the Samsung Galaxy S III is coming to the UK in April. Huzzah!
Normally we’d take these things with a pinch of salt, but the Korean site credits none other than Cheil Worldwide – Samsung’s marketing chaps.
Having said that, it’s not entirely clear if the date has been revealed in a semi-official capacity, or simply comes from “an anonymous source who doesn’t wish to be named”. Almost certainly the latter.
Samsung Galaxy S III specs are tipped to include a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos chip and a 4.8in edge-to-edge HD display. Presumably there'll be some pretty major camera action in there too.
April is really heating up, with the HTC One X and Asus Padfone expected to arrive in the same month. Which will you be buying?
