Well, the new iPad is well and truly here, so the Next Big Thing we’re all patiently (ahem) awaiting is the Samsung Galaxy S III.
As Matt pointed out at the weekend, the most convincing Samsung Galaxy S III image to date has leaked, and – as an added bonus – it appears to reveal the launch date too.
The calendar widget on the purported Samsung Galaxy S III shows an event scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday May 22 in London. The description reads: “Watch a Live Broadcast of the GALAXY S III Unpacked Event”. 'Citing.
That’d tie in with Samsung’s vague promise to launch the Samsung Galaxy S III at some point in Q2, which could - technically - be any time up till the end of June. Bah.
If May 22 is on the money, that means we’ve still nine full weeks before we meet the Samsung Galaxy S III. I’m not sure Matt can wait that long.
Rumoured Samsung Galaxy S III specs include a mostly edge-to-edge 4.6in 720p display, super-strong ceramic casing, an 8 or 12MP camera with 1080p video capture, Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), and – of course – a quad-core Exynos processor. Sounds good to us.
