The Samsung Galaxy S III famously snubbed MWC 2012 in favour of its own launch event (resultantly closing the gap between launch and release), but some believe the Samsung Galaxy IV might pop up at MWC 2013.
In the absence of any official announcement from Samsung, it’s all very much up in the air, but one particular source is yelling that the Samsung Galaxy S IV launch will go down on March 22 – three weeks after MWC. Oh, and we also gots a new pic.
First up, we’re crediting Asia Economic News (Korean) for the Samsung Galaxy S IV launch date. Brilliantly, they reckon the launch will take place on “Apple’s doorstep”, being "a place of public symbolic meaning".
More? It’s also expected to rock 4G LTE, with a microSD slot and the latest version of Google’s OS – namely Jelly Bean Android 4.2.1.
Sammobile adds that the Samsung Galaxy S IV will begin shipping in the week commencing April 15, while promising a 2,600mAh battery.
There’s also a leaked Samsung Galaxy S IV piccie via Picasa, though the jury’s still out on its authenticity.
