HTC has decided – or should I say realised – that less is more, but Samsung is apparently eyeing up the baton of prolificity and contemplating running like crazy. Jeez.
A few days ago I scribbled about the Samsung Tocco Lite 2, there are whispers of another Samsung Galaxy Tab (11.6in) at Mobile World Congress, and now a Samsung Galaxy mini 2 has been leaked to GSMArena.
The Samsung Galaxy mini 2 slots in somewhere between the Samsung Galaxy Y and Samsung Galaxy Ace. Incidentally, if you’ve ever wondered what the difference between the latter two is, check this out.
Specs? The rumoured Samsung Galaxy mini 2 has a 3.3in screen (up from its predecessor’s 3in display), 800 MHz processor (a cheeky 200MHz boost), 3GB internal storage and a 3MP camera.
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) has been signed up for OS duties. Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update to follow? Cripes knows.
The model number for the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is S6500, and it’s currently operating in the shadows under the codename Jena.
The leaked pic says “February 2012”, so it’s probably safe to assume we’re looking at a Mobile World Congress unveiling.
