Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Jelly Bean update pops up in Germany

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Jelly Bean update pops up in GermanyIn the unlikely event that you’re both a) living in Germany, and b) rocking a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, we have some decidedly good news for you.

German owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 are now being served the delicious Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.1) update. Zut alors! Waitaminute…

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 made its debut at Mobile World Congress back in February, and was finally released in August after going completely off the radar for a bit.

Bizarrely, I appear to have summed things up in The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 story. Did I really write that? Wow.

Anyway! Jelly Bean 4.1.1 is being rolled out to German Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 owners OTA (over the air), and it weighs in at a significant 300MB.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Jelly Bean features include improved multitasking and S-Pen action, new Quick Commands, and the Paper Artist app found on the comparatively small 5.5in Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

It sounds like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Jelly Bean update is exclusive to Germany at the moment.

Anyone here have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1? Any sign of Jelly Bean?

Correction - that is the Wanam Lite ROM. Just downloaded the generic Vf ROM for the Note 2 for a 'mate'... the zip's 1.3GB!!!!!!!

Blimey. Samsung and vf sure have some bloat in there.

WTF, 1.3GB?! What the hell are Vodafone and Samsung putting onto the phone? To put that into perspective, a CyanogenMod ROM for the S2 is about 150mb (about 250 with Gapps installed).

I think there is a super light ROM for the Note 2 than 'only' packs 300MB, but I think it lacks...well, everything. It's the core ROM to start baking your fav apps inteo - so, no pen-apps, no multi-window*** framework, etc etc....

***I love it: "multi-window"! It's TWO! How about Dual?
