With the original Samsung Galaxy Note launching at IFA 2011, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 arriving at the same event the following year, the smart money was on IFA 2013 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch.
Turns out that was proooobably right enough, with the South Koreans pretty much confirming that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch will indeed go down next month.
Samsung isn’t leaving much to the imagination with the obligatory invite for its Unpacked event in Berlin on September 4.
True, Samsung would be in attendance in any eventuality, but the invite cheekily finishes: “Note the date”. Get it? Samsung Galaxy… Note? Yeah, we see what you did there, Samsung. Very good.
The first Samsung Galaxy Note initially baffled consumers with what was at the time a freaking massive 5.3in display. I fondly recall a friend being relentlessly mocked at a barbecue when pulled a Note from his pocket.
However, these days, no one bats an eyelid at 5.3in, with many a phone going far beyond that figure. Incidentally, I’m penning a feature to that effect for 1pm. Stay tuned!
Rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs include a 5.7in 1080p display (in fact, a recent rumour proposed three display sizes), 2-3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, and possibly the spanking new Exynos 5 Octa processor.
