A cheeky Samsung Galaxy Note 3 software update is doing the rounds at the moment, and while it’s specific to select markets, the UK is supposedly among the lucky recipients.
The 185MB update carries build number N9005XXUFNF4 (catchy) and introduces two key new features to the ultra-popular phablet, namely Knox 2.0 and Download Booster.
That’s the word across the cyber-net, including this suitably thorough forum post on xda-developers, home of good people who love mobiles more than life itself.
Feature the first is Knox 2.0, Samsung’s enterprise security thingy, though I dare say not too many people will be wetting their pants over this one. As revealed back in May, only around 1.8 million of the 87 million Knox-enabled devices are taking advantage of the service.
Download Booster will likely be of more interest. It debuted on the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5, and – you guessed it – boosts your Note 3 download speed by combining LTE with Wi-Fi.
If all that wasn’t enough, how about a shortcut to download Kids Mode? But joking aside, there’s the suggestion that battery life is improved, too. Nice one.
Anyone out there rocking a Samsung Galaxy Note 3? (I'm looking at you, Matt). Seeing the update yet? If so, hit us up below and tell us all about it. OR ELSE.
