The big news today is that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are officially now available to buy. But if that's not your particular cup of tea, how about some news on one if the iPhone's high-flying rivals, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 4 will be hitting the streets in the UK on 10 October – that's in two weeks' time – and can be pre-ordered from today.
At this point iPhone lovers are no doubt revelling in the fact that Apple has managed to get its latest mobile trinket into consumers' trembling hands first despite announcing it nearly a week after Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge unveiling on 4 September.
And that's fair enough, but then things could be worse: the Galaxy Note 4 won't be available in the US until 17 October, a week after it takes its UK bow.
In the meantime, Samsung's Experience Stores can take your Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders from today - yes, it seems you can only pre-order it in person. If that's a problem, you'll be able to pre-order through a wider selection of retailers including Three and Carphone Warehouse, both in-store and online, from next Friday.
What will it cost? That we still don't know for sure, but earlier this week Clove went public in claiming a SIM-free price of £575, which sounds about right given the Samsung Galaxy Note 4's high-end billing.
