Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 makes cheeky appearance ahead of MWC

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 makes cheeky appearance ahead of MWCWe’ve been told not to expect a press event from Samsung at Mobile World Congress, but JK Shin has already confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will make its debut in Barcelona.

Martin scribbled a few words about the garnet red Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE the other day, and in one particular shot, the tablet’s wee brother - the Note 8.0 - appears to be hanging out in the background.

The mysterious device, shown in the pic above, appears to combine elements of both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

For starters, the device looks remarkably like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in terms of design, complete with Home button, but with significantly more bezel.

However, the device also has Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1-style on-screen Home and Back buttons.

Are we looking at the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0? Probably. Or maybe we’re all reading far too much into a render?

Incidentally, the render specifically includes a Valentine’s Day message, so it’s no mistake that it appeared when it did.

In any case, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will be made official one week on Monday.
