Samsung’s Mobile World Congress arsenal isn’t expected to be particularly exciting, with the Galaxy Note 8.0 probably being the big Sammo talking point by default.
The 8in chap recently made a cheeky Valentine’s Day appearance (maybe), and now it’s been priced ahead of its Barcelona unveiling.
An 8in display will of course make the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 just a smidgeon larger than the 7.9in iPad mini, so pricing will be crucial.
According to tablet.bg, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is set to go on sale in Bulgaria in March for 699 lev and 869 lev, which nets you the Wi-Fi only or 3G version respectively.
Converting those prices directly to GBP, we’re looking at £308 and £383. Maybe take those prices with a pinch of salt till the official launch.
Rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 specs include an S Pen-compatible 8in display (800 x 1280), 5MP/1.3MP camera combo, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB internal storage (with microSD support for expansion), a juicy 4,600mAh battery, and the latest version of Jelly Bean (Android 4.2).
Mobile World Congress opens its doors one week today; that’s February 25.
