Samsung Galaxy Note Edge gets 24K gold makeover

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge gets 24K gold makeoverWhile anodised gold colouring is more than enough for our tastes, it’s not uncommon to see high-end smartphones made over in, like, actual 24-karat gold.

We recently saw the utterly garish 24K gold iPhone 6 in China, and here, looking just a little classier for our money, is the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Gold Limited Edition.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Gold Limited Edition is a treat for Vietnamese consumers with more money than sense, and we doubt too many of you will be upset that there’s no word on a UK release at this stage.

Still, while the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Gold Limited Edition is more than a little out of our budget, it does - admittedly - look rather nice, as evidenced by a whole host of pictures on samsungviet.vn.

For starters, you get a fancy leather box, and an equally fancy card to prove that you’re the owner of an authentic Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Gold Limited Edition (or SG-NEGLE, for short).

The gold trim is fairly subtle, too, and not forgetting the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Gold Limited Edition’s S Pen, with its fancy gold handle.

Otherwise, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge specs remain unchanged, so you’re looking at a 5.6in QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB expandable storage, 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), 3.7MP front camera, and 3,000mAh battery.

Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock for the past few weeks, you’ll know we’re expecting a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in early March.

In the meantime, check out these guys:
