Samsung Galaxy Note Pro showcased… er, somewhere

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro showcased… er, somewhereTime was, the tablet industry was primarily focused on devices around the 10in mark, and more recently we’ve seen an influx of devices in the 7in arena, including the Google Nexus 7, Amazon Kindle Fire and iPad mini.

Now we’re swinging back the other way, with two of the biggest players – Apple and Samsung – looking to punch through the 12in barrier. Here we’re getting a glimpse at the colossal 12.2in Samsung Galaxy Note Pro.

Of course this isn’t the first time we’ve heard word of the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro. Last month we saw a 12.2in Samsung tablet pass through the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), and indeed such a device has been rumoured since last June.

Previously rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note Pro specs include a resolution of 2560 x 1600, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and 8MP/2MP cameras.

Here were supposedly getting a glimpse of the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro’s rear, seemingly at some sort of convention type thing.

Accompanying the pic, we’re told that further Samsung Galaxy Note Pro specs will include KitKat Android 4.4 (a step up from earlier Jelly Bean-flavoured rumours) and a 9,500mAh battery.

All going well, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro launch should go down at CES 2014 in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, over in the Apple camp, the 12.9in iPad Pro isn't expected until October 2014.

looking to punch through the 12in barrier.

Ahem... There's over a dozen of budget 13-inch Android tablets already available....
The barrier is long gone.

Neither do I, but yes - to my own surprise the local PC store had 3 13-in Android
tabs on offer for Xmas. ALL companies I had never heard of.
One, for €299, didn't look or feel half bad. Quadcore, Gorilla glass 2, a full USB port, JB...
Brand started with a Y - can't remember...
