When we first met the Samsung Galaxy Note at IFA in Berlin, we were told to expect an “early 2012” release in the UK. Recent rumours suggested November was more likely, and that is indeed the mother friggin’ case. Sweet.
It’s official: the Samsung Galaxy Note will land in the United Kingdom on November 17.
Is it a big smartphone or a small tablet? We don’t care. Either way, we would like one now please.
And just why does the Samsung Galaxy Note have us drooling oh so uncontrollably? Probably something to do with the 5.3in Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 8MP camera.
There’s also a digital pen – or “stylus” if you will – for sexy big-screen scribbling. We should probably appease Stelph and acknowledge that the HTC Flyer had a stylus too.
"We're delighted with the overwhelming reception the Galaxy Note has received since it was announced earlier this month and are looking forward to offering Samsung customers a whole new smartphone experience," beamed Simon Stanford, Samsung UK’s MD of mobile stuff.
"The Galaxy Note is… our fastest handset to date and brings together all the benefits of our award-winning smartphone technology and services."
Still no official word on pricing at this stage. If Clove is on the money with its £600 estimate, we reckon that could be a deal-breaker for many.
