In case you were sleeping all last week, we’ve accepted that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is now called the Samsung Galaxy F. Er, again.
While we await official word from the world’s number one mobile manufacturer, we’re seeing more leaked Samsung Galaxy F pics, alongside a blast of semi-interesting info.
The latest Samsung Galaxy F pics are relayed by Phone Arena, though even they suggest taking the shots with a grain of salt.
Essentially we’re seeing a phone that looks pretty much like a Samsung phone, ‘cept with a brushed aluminium rear.
The “anonymous tipster” points out that the Samsung Galaxy F is asynchronous, being slightly more curved at the top than the bottom.
Furthermore, he (or indeed she) says that the prototype we’re seeing here is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, but will be upgraded to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 on release.
Interestingly, the source adds that the Samsung Galaxy F is smaller than the Galaxy S5, though we’re assuming that’s the overall device rather than the display size.
In addition to the metallic rear and faster processor, the Samsung Galaxy F will supposedly build on the Galaxy S5 with 3GB of RAM, and a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, while maintaing IP67 waterproof certification.
Expect some sort of announcement before the LG G3 goes on sale on July 1. It’s also suggested that the Samsung Galaxy F release might be timed to coincide with the iPhone 6, though we’re told, too, that the former might be released in small quantities, sticking close to its home in Korea.
