Samsung likes to keep consumers on their toes with frankly baffling Advance and Plus variations and what not. More is definitely more, as far as the South Koreans are concerned.
Now we’re hearing a tad more on the Samsung Galaxy Premier, which sits somewhere between the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Samsung Galaxy S III. Sigh.
We first mentioned the Samsung Galaxy Premier back in March, when Sammo filed the name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (alongside Galaxy Grand and Galaxy Next).
Over the past few months, the Samsung Galaxy Premier has slowly taken shape, most recently popping up in a couple of benchmarks, specifically AnTuTu (SamMobile) and GLBenchmark.
The results aren’t hugely exciting, and that’s partly because Samsung Galaxy Premier specs aren’t hugely exciting.
The Samsung Galaxy Premier is said to have a 4.65in Super AMOLED HD display (same size as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus), 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera (same as the Samsung Galaxy S III), and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
On paper at least, the Samsung Galaxy Premier sounds far from terrible, but we can't help but wonder 'Why?'.
The rumour mill suggests the Samsung Galaxy Premier will land around December time. With the Samsung Galaxy S III mini arriving next month too, we’re preparing ourselves for plenty of Samsung-inspired eye rolling.
