Samsung has sent out invites to a Galaxy Premiere 2014 event in New York City on 12 June, with the slogan “tab into colour” leaving little doubt that we'll be seeing some Galaxy Tab action at the event.
And specifically we're hoping for the trio of Galaxy Tab S tablets that have been doing the rounds in the rumours of late: the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5, and the newly leaked 13.3in T910/T911, or the “Warhol” to use its codename.
However, that event also saw a fair bit of time given over to the Galaxy S4 Mini, Zoom and Active smartphones, as well as few new Galaxy S4 colours plus some new laptops and the Galaxy NX Android-powered CSC. So even if new additions to the Galaxy Tab range are headlining, it's likely other business will take place on the night too.
Getting back to the Galaxy Tab S, though, and we'll happily admit to being excited by the prospect of a pair of new AMOLED Tabs after the mediocre fare Samsung has foisted our way on the tablet front lately.
The massive “Warhol” won't be an AMOLED tablet, we're hearing, but will have the same 2560 x 1600 resolution plus a bunch of other high-end features.
Expect plenty more speculation on what will – and won't – be on the Galaxy Premiere 2014 menu over the next few weeks.
