Samsung Galaxy S2 KitKat

Might the Samsung Galaxy S2 be upgraded to KitKat even though it didn't get Jelly Bean? Since KitKat is "for everyone"?

If you have an S2 and it doesn't have Jelly Bean, it may be your service provider. I have an S2 T989 from T-Mo, it came with ICS, but as soon as I connected with KIES, it immediately updated to Jelly Bean. So when you say the Samsung Galaxy S2 didn't get Jelly Bean, that's not really true, I know T-Mo provided Jelly Bean, don't know about the other providers.

I would love to see the S2 get kit kat, but I doubt we're going to :(

I highly doubt it, why would Samsung bother? The S2 is well over 2 years old now, it must have a rapidly shrinking user base. Saying that, there's no technical reason why it couldn't run 4.4, so it'll likely get it via at least one custom ROM, probably many more.
