The Samsung Galaxy S3 is officially on Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2 (or thereabouts), with the obvious question being: when will the Samsung Galaxy S3 get Android 4.2.2?
Well, according to cheeky sources, it’s on its way soon, complete with various features pinched from the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Credit goes to SamMobile, which appears to have scored a leaked version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 firmware. Usual stipulations apply; proceed at your own risk, yadda yadda yadda.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 features include an improved ripple effect on the lock screen, support for multiple lock screen widgets, and the ability to set a personal message.
You can also access quick toggles with a two-fingered pull down, while the settings are now tabbed – just like the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Other features include Driving Mode, a Smart Switch widget, an updated version of S Voice, and a white background for the gallery.
