I just saw this on Cnet, if it's fake it's by far the best fake I've seen in a long time...

Murtazin claims on twitter he's got REAL pics of the REAL SGS3. But he also claims Twitter keep deleting them pics... cue the Twilight Zone song....

That guy's full of more bullsh*t than a farm. The date on the screen of the picture above is May 22nd...relevant? Maybe? Probably not, though.

Here's a much bigger (and better) picture:

It's too big to fit on a Mobot comment so a link will have to do.

Is the closeup showing the phone is upside down?

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 17, 2012 at 23:59

No, stereo speakers apparently, according to various sources around the web.

Treab  Mar. 18, 2012 at 01:22

stereo speakers? and a phone that thin... it looks tiny width wise... i dunno something about it doesnt do it for me... prefer the looks of the htc if that turns out to be true tbh.

Stereo means two speakers (one at the top and one at the bottom in this case). Looks about 7mm all the way down, that is possibly a bit too thin on a device that's got such a big screen...

The HTC does look nicer, but the S3 will almost certainly be a better phone. Btw, less than 24hrs until the official UK ICS update for the S2 :p!!

If this does turn out to be true, the widget says an event is late-May, giving a release of June. HTC has a two month head-start here.

Apple released the 4S in October...didn't seem to do them any harm ;).

Eh? Apple-owners will (usually) buy Apple products, no matter what Android trinketry comes out. Whereas Android owners can swap between makes and it doesn't make a bit of difference to them.
It's worth noting that people on 24 month contracts for the Galaxy S, are now just about to finish/ have finished their contract and really only the HTC One series is in the prime position to pick up these guys.

i know what stereo speakers are numpty... i just don't know if theres much point ...

tbh i reckon 4.3" is about right for a smartphone but say this is 4.7" at 7mm thick it could well feel odd to hold and maybe its a little too small to hold nicely...

where the f**k do HTC phones look nicer?! they exploit the same conception of the design from year to year - soapbox with curvy edges, and now HTC One resembles white feminine robot EVE from the Wall-e cartoon movie, that makes feel like it is a device of "the future" imagined in 1990's.

blizzard7  Mar. 18, 2012 at 15:32

Relax. It was just an opinion X)

Made me LOL (at you, that is). You want to watch your blood pressure, mate.

ahh yes but those 'devices of the future' were actually pretty terrible designs... and tbh the above may well fit into that column sounds great on paper in reality... meh.

too thin battery life could well be an issue... heating issues as no room for the heated air to escape properly... i have a battery monitoring app on my phone and if charging with the case on it apparently can raise the temp to 50 degrees c. and considering it normally runs at around 25-30 thats a high leap.
