At the weekend, I relayed JK Shin’s prediction of 10 million Samsung Galaxy S4 units “sold” (I’ll get back to that definition momentarily) this week, and it’s only gone and happened right on cue.
Fuelling the frenzy, we’re told that the South Koreans will soon launch a further four Samsung Galaxy S4 colours. Splendid.
The 10 million Samsung Galaxy S4 sales are actually – in Samsung’s own words – “global channel sales”, so 10 million shipped would be a more accurate declaration.
Regardless, the landmark is reached less than a month after the Samsung Galaxy S4’s “commercial debut”, and the Samsung Galaxy S3 took 50 days to achieve the same feat.
Samsung boasts that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is moving at a rate of four units per second. That’s a lot of Samsung Galaxy S4s.
"On behalf of Samsung, I would like to thank the millions of customers around the world who have chosen the Samsung GALAXY S4. At Samsung we'll continue to pursue innovation inspired by and for people," yelled JK Shin.
As for Samsung Galaxy S4 colours, White Mist and Black Forest will soon be joined by Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, and later followed by Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn. Is it just me, or do those last two sound a bit dodgy? I'd make a fantastic joke, but I'm on thin ice after bumgate at the weekend.
