Is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active protected against drops?

Is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active a proper "rugged" phone? Can it survive drops or is it just protected against dust and water?

Wouldn't in my opinion trust any mobile to be drop proof unless marketed as such and rubberised on outside to protect,I am on my 3rd samsung s3, the 1st 2 died without any apparent damage within weeks of falling from chest pocket to floor whilst in a case, the 1 I have now is in a more protected case and lasted 5 months so far , I doubt I will ever buy samsung again as the product may be good but don't expect to loose a product whilst on a table overnight with no apparent damage and was a pain getting swapped out on care insurance at £25 a time, thanks for nothing samsung and orange

On insurance? Wow. 1st two would have been warranty afaic.

Yeah that's what I figured but orange shop wouldn't provide a Bluetooth capable phone as a loaner so it could be sent to samsung under warranty, so with no viable option there had to use Orange Care costs £7.99 a month and they still demanded £25 admin fee for orange care to arrange swap out, made high level complaint and got 1st £25 refunded for phone unusable after just 6 months but was told no go on 2nd refund for a phone swapped out just 8 months after swapping out for 1st faulty unit , safe to say will probably not stay with orange or samsung at contract end in 4 months

God... they really all screw you, don't they?
If any other retail sector did what telecoms and internet providers get away with, all hell would break loose ...

The motor industry could be up there

Probably, I don't care much as long as I get from A to B. Took me 3 years to realise my Audi has an alarm system....
