The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is a strange beast. Camera aside, there’s a good argument to be made that it’s actually better than the bog standard flagship, but it’s kept a relatively low profile.
Destined to keep an even lower profile is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It’s rumoured once again, but tipped to stay in Korea.
Supposedly it’s being held back temporarily so as not to interfere with potential sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Which makes pretty much no sense at all, but whatever.
The current Samsung Galaxy S4 Active of course rocks the one-step-down Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, while the headline feature is its ability to laugh in the face of water and dust – which, as I’ve said before, should really come as standard on all wallet-punching flagships.
If all these Samsung Galaxy S4 variants are confusing your brain, well, some swell guy recently penned an article called The Samsung Galaxy S4 family, explaining how the S4, S4 Active, S4 Zoom and S4 mini fit together. Heck, there’s even a lovely table.
