Bringing us up to nine (we dare say there are more) are the Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition and Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition.
For all intents and purposes, the Black Edition phones are identical to the existing models, other than having faux leather rears (black, of course), as found on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (and others).
That means Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition specs include a 5in 1080p display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP/2MP camera combo, 16GB internal storage (with microSD), and a 2,600mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition sports a 4.3in 540x960 display, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8MP/1.9MP camera combo, 8GB internal storage (with microSD), and a 1,900mAh battery.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition and Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition rock Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2, but KitKat should follow relatively soonish.
With the Black Edition phones scheduled for a February release in Russia, they’ll likely touch down just weeks before the Samsung Galaxy S5. Ladies and gentlemen, the world’s number one mobile manufacturer.
