Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition: boasts actual crystals (sort of)

Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition: boasts actual crystals (sort of)We’re no stranger to ostentatious mobile phones here at Mobot, having covered the £7,000 Vertu Ti and the Porsche Design P’9982, the latter being a £1,400 version of the humble BlackBerry Z10, which, incidentally, now sells for around a tenth of that price – but how would people know you’re rich, huh? How would they know?

Following that trend, we’re being introduced to something called the Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition, a phone that has, like, actual “Swarovski elements” on the back. For f…

To be fair, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition doesn’t sound too crazy, selling for 20,300 baht, which equates to just £385. Indeed, it’s only marginally more expensive than the standard Samsung Galaxy S4 at 17,400 baht – or £330 to you and me. Ok, I’ll climb down off my high horse.

Fancy it? Well, as the mention of baht above perhaps suggests, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition will be exclusive to Thailand, and it’s not expected to venture beyond the Thai border.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition will be limited to just 3,500 units. Bah.

Fans of silly phones might also recall the recent gold Samsung Galaxy S4s, which play host to actual gilded gold. Good lord.

Wow, lead glass on plastic.

Real classy.

Still better than Vertu though.

Also, Swarowski have a tm after "crystal" because, you know, they are man-made... In my book NOT 'actual' crystals... Just pretty 'plastic'. :p
