Those who eagerly jumped on the Life Companion bandwagon in early 2013 might soon regret their decision, with the Samsung Galaxy S5 expected to launch any minute now on account of lower-than-expected Galaxy S4 sales.
Worse still, there’s been no official word on the Samsung Galaxy S4 KitKat Android 4.4 update to date, and unofficially, we’re hearing that testing has only just started.
It’s SamMobile dishing the news no Samsung Galaxy S4 owner wants to hear: that the current flagship has seemingly become a low priority.
I say that because the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 KitKat Android 4.4 update has already started rolling out, popping up first in Poland.
Getting back to SamMobile, a tweet declares: “Samsung has just begun testing KitKat for Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500). It’s not stable enough to be used as a daily driver.”
Of course, you could always go down the unofficial route, with a handful of Samsung Galaxy S4 owners claiming to happily run KitKat Android 4.4 already.
Samsung has yet to comment, but the problem is that there’s simply no incentive to hurry things along, especially when there are more pressing issues like the Samsung Galaxy S5 launch.
