Samsung Galaxy S4 mini UK SIM free price: £390

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini UK SIM free price: £390The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is one of a host of S4 variants on the cards (alongside the Galaxy S4 Active and rumoured Galaxy S4 Zoom), and was made official by the South Koreans last week.

If you’re thinking of picking up a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini SIM free when it hits the UK, er, soonish, be prepared to part with around £390.

That’s the price touted by UK retailer Handtec, which lists the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini for £389.99 including VAT.

At the time of writing, neither Expansys nor Clove cares to take a stab at Samsung Galaxy S4 mini price.

However, way over in the east, Samsung Ukraine has seemingly priced the Galaxy S4 mini at 5,000 UAH, which equates to – right enough - £399. That’s according to Mobile Arsenal.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini specs include a 4.3in qHD display, dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front shooter, microSD support, 1,900mAh battery, and Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2).

In terms of specs, it’ll go head-to-head with the HTC One mini, which remains unofficial. For now.

**** off samsung

The S3 is cheaper and a much better phone.

So, they'll sell a grand total of zero units SIM free then. Why the hell would anyone pay about £70 more than the cost of a brand new S3 for the (much worse) S4 Mini?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

why not buy an s2... similar in every detail except one ... the s2 is about £200 cheaper...

This is slightly better than the S2, but nowhere near £200 better. The S2 remains the best phone at its given price point (as it has been for its entire life; including being the best phone money could buy).

I've just realised something which makes this even more hilarious...anyone fancy a Note 2 for 11 quid more? Nahhh...I knew everyone would prefer the S4 Mini.

Word of warning from an ex-S2 owner, the screen doesn't work so well as a GPS as SAMOLED+ isn't great in bright conditions. Also, it's a little on the small side for a dedicated GPS, though that's just my opinion.

Btw, does this mean you've bought a car?

Treab  Jun. 7, 2013 at 00:18

my dads old rover just temporarily whilst i finish uni :D

matt101101 / MOD  Jun. 7, 2013 at 00:41

Sounds...reliable ;)

Treab  Jun. 7, 2013 at 01:16

tbf its only broken down once recently (last 10 years) and that was the starter motor... generally it works alright... still plan on upgrading ASAP ;) but if i go community nursing i can get a car via the NHS higher purchase scheme.

matt101101 / MOD  Jun. 7, 2013 at 17:22

Sounds surprisingly reliable, for a Rover. Then again, I (in the name of it being for the Mrs) bought a Fiat earlier this year; Panda 100HP, most fun I've had on four wheels, so what do I know about reliability haha :p.

im really debating which of the galaxy s4's to go for when i upgrade... the rugged one but with a worse camera or the unrugged but better camera... thinking rugged if i can...

Rugged, without a doubt. If you want to take good pictures, buy a real camera. I'm guessing the 8mp camera on the rugged S4 will be the same unit which is on the S3/Note 2, so it's hardly what you'd call a bad camera.

The only other issue is how much Samsung want for the rugged edition, no doubt it'll be even more than the already £500 standard S4.

An "upgrade" to EE no doubt, if they're still anything like they were in March when I renewed my SIM only plan ;).

I was joking. Bit like 4G is a joke. Seriously, why bother with it (unless it's free)? Who needs to stream HD video whilst they're on the move THAT badly?

Three may well be my next network, free 4G and truly unlimited data would make a nice combination. I could basically stop having to use my home Wi-Fi for my phone, it might help stop me falling foul of VM's traffic management quite so often ;).

plus they don't raise your tariff twice in one contract term...

Yeah...T-Mobile raised the price on my contract a few months ago, thankfully my contract is so cheap that I really don't care. I would not have been happy if I was paying £40 per month or something stupid like that.

mines 20...originally... gone upto 21.30 something like that... not much but nearly £20 more than i expected.
