Samsung Galaxy S4 or Sony Xperia Z or HTC One?

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z and HTC One are all official, which one floats your boat? ;)

being a current S3 owner wouldnt switch to any of them but i like the look of the HTC ONE.

The S4 apart from the software is not diff enough for me(they doing what apple do which is to make tweeks then sell basically the same phone as new phone again) need a bigger change to the handset looks, more like the htc one

None...is that an option?

JanSt / MOD  Mar. 15, 2013 at 14:50

Hate Android. If I HAD to, the ONE.

matt101101 / MOD  Mar. 15, 2013 at 14:52

If I had to have one, the S4, simply because I know it'll be the best phone under its uninspiring body (which would be in a case anyway).

Freak :p

CTPAHHIK  Mar. 15, 2013 at 15:01

Xperia Z as this is the only phone that actually exists. I haven't seen the other two, have you?

If I'm to spend £500 I prefer to hold it on my hand, not see a picture.

None of them are looking like game changers at the moment. May go to a SIM only deal for a few months and see if the Iphone 5S goes big screen or the Note 3 takes things up a level.

Not an Android fan but if I had to pick, I'd go for the Z.
Its the best looking of the 3 in my opinion.

Pondlife  Mar. 15, 2013 at 15:54

So you'd base it solely on looks?

mrew42  Mar. 15, 2013 at 16:17

I side with Jan
The Z is uninspiring (unless i've missed something)
The S4 is lighter than the S3? ew. no thanks
The One actually sparks my interest, but then I probably wouldn't swap any of them for my N4 :)

Dougal1709  Mar. 15, 2013 at 16:24

I'll bet the both people whose first priority in a phone is looks own iPhones.

Dougal, it's about the quality feel and appearance. Metal/glass versus some of the ugliest plastic in the universe. Since the SGS4 isn't out yet, what other factor than "appearance" would YOU base your decision on? On-paper specs? Good luck with that. And aren't Androids so great because of themes and different-looking launchers? There: appearances...

Pondlife  Mar. 15, 2013 at 16:48

Features?
And it's scarcely all about the looks of different launchers, hard week and you are just being facetious now?

All too big anyway

Pondlife  Mar. 15, 2013 at 16:49

Who selected mrt's answer as useful, it doesn't even make sense atm?

CTPAHHIK has answer I'd say was closest to right but would say that not having access to them makes it unanswerable rather than meaning Z wins. Isn't One out today?

Wait for Motorola x phone

Wait for Motorola x phone
That one that may well not exist?

AhmadCentral  Mar. 15, 2013 at 17:35

I don't understand why people are saying the jump from the S3 to S4 is minimal? It's a much bigger jump than the S2 to the S3.

The S4 wins hands down, followed by the HTC ONE, then the Xperia Z.

They all have their unique software and hardware quirks though, e.g samsung have their S-App collection, Sony have the waterproof hardware etc...

JanSt, it's a telephone. What difference does it make what it's made of as long as it doesn't end up broken or damaged? I have a Note 2. It's massive and made of flimsy plastic. Do I care? Nope. It's never broken or scratched. And no, androids are not great because of themes and launchers. They are great because of widgets, and access to the file system, and a choice of video and music players, and the ability to download stuff from websites.

I understand that if you spend 600 notes on a phone you want it to feel like a premium product but for me it would be fairly unimportant factor compared with what it actually does

Dude... my man... I know :p
I use a Nokia N9 and an old E75... Do you think I care?
But a lot of people DO. My personal prob with the SGS3 is not plastic... it's the fact it's very very cheap-looking ugly plastic. Also, I totally dislike Android. So... :p

Can you see that plastic once it's in a case? No you can't.

Matt... I know. I'm just teasing. Also: iPhones are for girls. Real men use feature phones!

AhmadCentral  Mar. 15, 2013 at 19:04

I think you'll find real men use Motorola DynaTacs!
