Our most recent sighting of the Samsung Galaxy 5 Google Play Edition came last month courtesy of a blurrycam pic posted by compulsive leakster @evleaks.
Well, the same source has now teased a second image of the stock Android handset, this time a high quality press render showing the plastic powerhouse in all its glory.
And that's not all, as the GPE handset also seems to have made an appearance in a group shot of various Google Play devices on the official Android website.
This after a slip-up earlier in the year when Android mistakenly posted a pic of the TouchWiz-free Galaxy S5 on the Galaxy S4 GPE page of the Play Store, while the handset was also spotted getting its Bluetooth certification sorted a couple of months back.
The idea of the Google Play Edition handsets is to offer a pure Android without any UI overlays or additional software.
It'll certainly be interesting to see how the vanilla Android Galaxy S5 gets on. It largely depends on where you stand on losing the long list of special features and utilities Samsung has thrown at the regular Galaxy S5.
Well, we say “you” but in reality it's likely to be someone else, as just like previous Google Play Edition handsets, we're unlikely to see the Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition in the UK at all.
