Is there much difference between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5? Other than better camera (16mp vs 13mp) and a slightly larger screen.

Really, there's not much difference between the S4 and S5 in terms of stuff the average person will use or notice.

Seems to me the only real improvements are the finger scanner and heartbeat thingy.
So, if hypochondria is your thing, maybe the SGS5 is great? I'd buy the SGS3 instead, or the Moto G if camera is irrelevant.
In fairness though - maybe there currently is just nothing revolutionary to be done?
A bit like pre-iPhone when essentially every Windows Mobile smartphone did the same thing/s... And Nokia's Symbian smartphones only slightly differed physically - camera module, screensize etc, but not actual functionality.
Or laptops - spend £350 or £600 - for most users there's no big difference.
Maybe the next step comes when flexible screens become viable in terms of costs and accompanying battery? Also: Nokia - so I read - consider licensing their Pureview technology.
Maybe another OS and manufacturer can sort out the lag issue...
