What are we calling this thing? The Samsung Galaxy Edge? The Samsung Galaxy S Edge? The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge? Yeah, let’s go with the latter, for now.
As the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge’s launch date draws ever closer, we’re hearing a little more about the design of the latter in particular. In a nutshell: not quite as curvy as the Galaxy Note Edge.
That’s the word over on SamMobile, with an exclusive headlined Some details you didn’t know about the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Credit, in turn, goes to an anonymous “insider”.
Primarily we’re told that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge’s Edge displays - yep, displays plural - will be “30 to 50% less curved” than the Edge display on the Galaxy Note Edge, the latter launching alongside the Galaxy Note 4 last September.
So why less curvy? Well, supposedly it’s on account of the Samasung Galaxy S6 Edge being a smaller device than the Galaxy Note Edge, and “because of the volume and power buttons on the sides”.
On both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the camera module will be the same colour as the phone, and the pair will be the same colour front and back, lending credence to the notion of metal phones.
Again, full story from the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge launch on Sunday, March 1.
