Samsung Galaxy Tab S: 2560 x 1600 AMOLED, Exynos 5 Octa, fingerprint scanner

Samsung Galaxy Tab S: 2560 x 1600 AMOLED, Exynos 5 Octa, fingerprint scannerApparently Samsung has released seven tablets already this year, including four Galaxy Pro slates and, er, three others that completely escape me right now. I’m sure they were bloody well groundbreaking, regardless.

To be fair, this latest chap, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, does sound worth paying attention to. More rambling below.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S news is relayed exclusively by SamMobile (it’s been a while, buddy), and these will be – unless I’m mistaken – the first Samsung tablets to adopt the good S name.

They'll also be the first Samsung tablets to feature a fingerprint scanner, as found on the Samsung Galaxy S5. Heck, should probably mention the iPhone 5s here, too.

You’ll be able to grab the Samsung Galaxy Tab S with an 8.4in or 10.5in display, while optional LTE brings the total to four models. Oh, and two colours, namely Shimmer White and Titanium Grey, makes eight. Technically.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S specs include a resolution of 2560 x 1600 on its AMOLED display, octa-core Exynos 5 Octa processor (even on the LTE variants), 3GB of RAM, 8MP/2.1MP cameras, and KitKat Android 4.4.2.

There’s no mention of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S release date here, but we’ve been jawing about these AMOLED tablets for months now, so it shouldn’t be too long.
