These days Samsung rumours pretty much equals SamMobile, and today the skinny is that Samsung is planning on hitting IFA 2013 in September with a Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Note III launch double.
The Berlin tech show has seen Samsung do plenty of business in the past, so it's certainly not a stretch to believe, even if the rumour comes with the usual lack of source-naming beyond saying it comes from “an insider”.
Still, SamMobile's insider(s) is/are usually reliable – it's the same source that dished up the recent Android Key Lime Pie update rumours – so we'll go along with the claims for now.
The main thrust is that the Galaxy Tab 3 will land in the second half of the year, but may be present at IFA in Berlin (which runs from September 6-11).
The wording of the piece suggests that the Galaxy Note III will definitely be on hand in Berlin, while the third-generation Galaxy Tab is more of a maybe at this stage.
No word on the specifications, but the Samsung insider did reveal that the Galaxy Tab 3 launch would mark the end of support for the first-generation Galaxy Tab, which are now two years old.
The Key Lime Pie update piece suggests the Galaxy Tab 2 will be updated to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but that its own days are numbered after that.
