Why was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 banned? Was it said to have copied the iPad's design, or was it related to functionality?

I think it's appearance... but I've stopped paying attention. It's all a bit ludicrous.
Having said that: Acer's Iconia range, Toshiba's slabs and Sony's tabs look markedly different from the iPad and from another. One could possibly argue that Samsung's tabs are a bit more similar to the iPad than necessary. But essentially they all look like someone snapped the keyboard off of a netbook... so maybe Asus should sue them all?

The same court said the tab 10.1 was ok, so somewhat baffling I'd say.

The German patent system (and legal system) seems to be just as f*cked as the American one...unfortunately Germany is part of the EU, so questionable rulings over there can affect consumers in the UK.
